Excited to finally share this personal project that had been stuck in the depths of my hard drive for way too long!
I present "Anakazel Demon" from LineAge II !
Originally, it was just a high poly sculpt I had left aside years ago. Recently, I dug it back up and decided to give it a second life — with retopo, texturing, rigging, skinning, and full integration into Unreal Engine for a complete final render.
The base model is pretty old, but I really enjoyed bringing it up to date using today’s tools and techniques.
I'm still amazed at how much depth and life a good texture can bring — even when painted by hand, just like we used to do in Photoshop back in the day.
This character tested and improved myl game-ready workflow, and i pushed further with skinning and little animation baked for Unreal.
Some renders was made in Marmoset Toolbag also in comparaison.
While searching for environments to integrate my character, I came across the stunning project the Epic team made available on Fab: “Dark Ruins Quixel Megascan.”

It gave me the perfect opportunity to dive deeper into Unreal and its shaders, while exploring this amazing playground.
My graphics card didn’t always enjoy the trip, but it was a lot of fun to explore this world and adapt it for my needs.
Thanks for checking it out — hope you enjoy the result as much as I enjoyed creating it!
